Software Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Backend Engineer who has designed, built, and owned production services. You should fit a modern backend stack and be high-trajectory—someone who grows fast and loves a startup pace. This is an individual contributor role. You will build real services that power the product from day one.

What You’ll Do

• Design, build, and own backend services in production
• Work with APIs, databases, data pipelines, or distributed systems
• Ship fast and take full ownership of your work
• Collaborate with a small, senior team

Must-Haves

• 3+ years building backend software (around 3–6 years)
• Designed, built, and owned production-facing services end-to-end
• Experience with any ONE of these (not all): External API integrations, Relational database backends, ETL / data pipelines, Distributed systems
• Good fit with a modern backend stack
• Thrives in a fast-paced startup
• Based in SF / can do hybrid (3 days/week in office)
• Already US work-authorized (no visa sponsorship)

Nice-to-Haves

• Startup experience
• Depth in data pipelines, distributed systems, or cloud infrastructure
• Came from a high-growth startup that did well (later-stage or IPO, joined early)
• Tech Stack: Python, Django, Kafka, Spark, Airflow, AWS, Terraform, EKS, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL
