Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance complex and diverse software systems based upon documented requirements.
• Work individually or as part of a team.
• Review and test software components for adherence to the design requirements and document test results.
• Resolve software problem reports.
• Utilizes software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment.
• Provide specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS)/Government Off-the-shelf (GOTS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with twelve (12) years of relevant experience.
• Associate's degree with fifteen (15) years of relevant experience.
• High School/GED with twenty (20) years of relevant experience.
• Experience in a DevOps environment providing Kubernetes platform and related infrastructure stack for a variety of enterprise tenants.
• Rancher Multi-Cluster Management
• GitOps including GitLab-anytirunners and CI/CD pipelines
• Flex/Argo Continuous Delivery
• Experience with project management tools such as JIRA/Confluence for issue tracking and knowledge base documentation.

• Linux administration
• Python and Bash scripting

Physical Requirements

Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally moves about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, including delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
