Responsibilities
- Analyze user requirements to derive software design, implementation code, and performance requirements.
- Debug existing software and correct defects.
- Provide recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards.
- Design and code new software or modify existing software to add new features.
- Introuduce complex database or data repository interfaces/queries.
- Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments.
- Serve as team leader or technical point of contact at the level appropriate to the software development process being used on any project.
- Design or implement complex database or data repository interfaces/queries.
- Aid with developing and executing test procedures for software components.
- Develop or implement algorithms to meet or exceed system performance and functional standards.
- Support one or more software development activities and ensure the work is completed in accordance with the constraints of the software development process.
- Cooordinate software system installation and monitor software functioning in the target environment to ensure operational specifications are met.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in technical discipline; an additional 4 years of Software Engineering experience might be substituted for a degree.
- 14+ years of experience as a Software Engineer.
- Proficiency with Java.
- Understanding of AWS (EC2/EFS/S3).
- Experience utilizing Ansible for configuration management and automation.
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies, including VMware environments and VMDK usage.
Qualifications
- Familiarity with target platform environments, including HP Hardware systems.
- Exposure to VMware environment installation and maintenance.
- Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks.
