Software Engineer

About the role

Join a team responsible for core production infrastructure, managing large-scale container orchestration across diverse environments from on-premise to major cloud hyperscalers.

Responsibilities

• Deliver container runtimes to challenging new environment types including new clouds, on-premise, and edge devices.
• Build automation and establish standards for operating Kubernetes securely at scale with zero manual operational overhead.
• Drive innovation through the adoption of novel Kubernetes features and CNCF tools, including making upstream contributions.
• Design the next generation of core infrastructure through a deep understanding of internal systems and industry standards.
• Ensure scale, stability, and security across a matrix of compliance regimes and hosting infrastructure types.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in systems programming languages such as Go, C/C++, or Java.
• Deep familiarity with containers (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) at scale.
• Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Kubernetes operators.
• Professional software development experience on core infrastructure with an emphasis on operational excellence.
• Experience designing and building high-scale observability or infrastructure systems.
