About the role
We are seeking a highly skilled C# .NET WPF Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in modern software application development, as well as a solid background in mathematics. Hybrid work in the Williamsburg office location, as needed.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain algorithms, applications and libraries for 3D graphical software using C# and C++.
- Integrate and implement features using external SDKs and APIs (e.g., 3D engines, CAD kernels, mesh kernels, scanner SDKs).
- Work closely with other team members, including product owner and quality assurance engineer, on both development and support tasks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional geographically dispersed teams to define, design, and ship new features as well as to perform support activities.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while following best practices in software development.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, backward and forward compatibility.
- Conduct unit tests and debug applications to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for all developed code and systems.
- Resolve technical issues and bugs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, or comparable experience.
- Proven 5 years+ experience with C# or C++.
- Proven experience with WPF development is a plus, including MVVM pattern and creating intuitive user interfaces.
- Experience with UI/UX design tools is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Knowledge and background in mathematics and linear algebra.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with fluency in English.
- Experience with machine interfacing and sensors integration is a plus; specific experience on the product and the hardware will be acquired with the team’s support in lab.
