About the role
SmartCop, part of Harris Computer's Frontline portfolio, delivers integrated public safety software for law enforcement and first-responder agencies. The suite includes CAD, RMS, Mobile, and Jail Management, providing a fully integrated platform to enhance officer safety, efficiency, and community outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Develop reliable and scalable applications contributing to first responder safety, efficiency, and informedness with mission-critical technology.
- Work with cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Use AI-assisted development tools to support productivity, improve code quality, and enhance testing practices.
- Engage in n-tier web-based architecture and service-oriented architecture design.
- Develop and consume web services.
- Implement automated testing practices and quality-focused development.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a closely related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience developing applications using C# within an object-oriented framework.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools to support code development, testing, and quality-focused practices.
- Experience with object-oriented design and development principles within modern application frameworks (e.g., .NET).
- Ability to interact with MS SQL Server database, T-SQL, stored procedures.
- Familiarity with n-tier web-based architecture / service-oriented architecture and design.
- Experience developing and consuming web services.
- Exposure to automated testing practices and quality-focused development.
Other Requirements
- Able to collaborate and participate in meetings during regular North American Central Time zone business hours.
- Candidate must be authorized to work in the US.
- Candidate must be United States-based.
- Employment may be contingent upon successful completion of applicable government background checks required for access to sensitive public safety information.

Pay
$70,000 - $80,000 USD per year.
