The Scientist and Engineer labor category is comprised of Analysts, Engineers, and Scientists with knowledge and skills to apply a variety of analytical techniques to formulate and solve problems; plan for future technologies; conduct research and development; and define requirements for systems. Specific knowledge and expertise may be required in specialized engineering fields as detailed. • Up to 3 years of experience and a bachelor’s or master’s degree in the applicable discipline; responsible for assisting more senior positions and/or performing functional duties under the oversight of more senior positions.
• Minimum of an active U.S. SECRET clearance and subject to a government security investigation.
• Driving or renting a car for company business expected with some frequency; valid driver’s license required for insurance purposes.
• Ability to pass a background check to be granted access to specific working location installation bases to perform work for GMRE (pertains to Technical Services positions).
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Occasional travel – expected to travel for meetings, trainings, and/or site visits.
