Job Description
The Software Engineer is primarily responsible for designing, developing, configuring and supporting computer software applications.
- Manage designated technology application portfolio from configuration, maintenance and monitoring
- Provide analysis, architectural design and leadership on small size projects
- Work within defined IT processes and procedures including the company’s internal software development life cycle methodology (SDLC)
- Serve as liaisons between technical and business departments in order to ensure that all requirements and targets are met
- Consult with senior peers on non-complex projects to learn through experience
- Apply basic application management and administration skills with moderate level of proficiency
- Represent department and the organization favorably and in accordance with established Company standards and associate attributes at all times
- Participate in 24x7 On Call rotation supporting break/fix ticket resolution
- Other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
- Basic Minimum: Bachelor's degree in computer science, business or equivalent experience and training; up to 3 years of successful application & system development and management; database experience utilizing the .NET Framework; Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship; Ability to multi-task; Knowledge and management of System Development Lifecycle Methodologies a plus; Goal oriented, with excellent time management and organizational skills; Excellent interpersonal skills, with ability to interact effectively and work efficiently with people at all levels in an organization; Excellent verbal & written communication skills; Keenly attentive to detail; Ability to keep sensitive information confidential
- Level II: Minimum of 3-7 years of successful application & system development and management; database experience utilizing the .NET Framework; Experience using and applying System Development Lifecycle Methodologies; Proven experience leading tasks or projects related to medium to large size software implementations
- Senior: Minimum 7+ years of successful application & system development and management; database experience utilizing the .NET Framework; Proven experience leading tasks or projects related to large size software implementations
Physical Requirements
- Physical dexterity sufficient to use hands, arms, and shoulders repetitively to operate a keyboard and other office equipment, use a telephone, access file cabinets and other items stored at various levels, including overhead
- Ability to speak and hear well enough to communicate clearly and understandably with sufficient volume to ensure an accurate exchange of information in normal conversational distance, over the telephone, and in a group setting
- Continuous operation of a personal computer for extended periods of time (4 or more hours)
- Mental acuity sufficient to collect and interpret data, evaluate, reason, define problems, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, make valid judgments and decisions
