Software Engineer

About the role

The Software Engineer, Developer Productivity (Config & Experimentation) will own the technical strategy and roadmap for config and experimentation infrastructure. They will maintain and enhance architecture for feature flagging, dynamic configuration, and experimentation systems. This role involves designing and building scalable, distributed infrastructure and shared libraries for high-volume workloads. They will also own platforms and tooling enabling engineers to safely ship config changes and run experiments. Additionally, they will define standards and frameworks for experimentation and configuration management.

Responsibilities

• Own technical strategy and roadmap for config and experimentation infrastructure
• Maintain and enhance architecture for feature flagging, dynamic configuration, and experimentation systems
• Design and build scalable, distributed infrastructure and shared libraries for high-volume workloads
• Own platforms and tooling enabling engineers to safely ship config changes and run experiments
• Define standards and frameworks for experimentation and configuration management

Requirements

• Deep experience with configuration management, feature flagging, and/or experimentation platforms at scale
• Strong proficiency in Python, Rust, and/or Go
• Experience with container orchestration and infrastructure at scale
• Excellent communication skills; comfortable supporting internal partners
• Experience designing foundational systems and working independently on ambiguous, high-impact challenges
• 15+ years of Software Engineering experience building large-scale developer infrastructure
• 3+ years leading large-scale, complex projects or teams

Pay

The hourly rate for this position is expected to be between $200.00 – 255.00 per hour, depending on geographic location, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

Schedule

Monday-Friday, PST hours
