Software Engineer

Summary CTC Group is seeking Software Engineers, for a contingent program supporting the development, maintenance, and enhancement of complex mission software systems. In this role, you will design and develop new capabilities, improve existing applications, troubleshoot software issues, and collaborate with engineering teams to deliver reliable solutions across analytics, large-scale data processing, real-time systems, and other mission environments. Locations: Annapolis Junction / Ft. Meade Responsibilities Design, develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems based on documented mission and technical requirementsAnalyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirementsDesign and code new software and modify existing applications to add capabilities and improve performanceDebug existing software, investigate software problem reports, and resolve defectsIntegrate existing software into new or modified systems and operating environmentsReview and test software components to ensure they meet design and performance requirementsDevelop and execute software test procedures and document test resultsDevelop database queries and interfaces for existing or proposed databases and data repositoriesApply software development and design methodologies appropriate to the technical environmentAnalyze system performance, data usage, workflows, and technical constraints to develop effective software solutionsCollaborate with systems and hardware engineers to define software requirements, interfaces, and technical approachesEvaluate hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, and the use of COTS/GOTS solutionsDevelop and maintain software and system documentationRecommend and implement improvements to software development processes, standards, and documentationFor senior-level positions, provide technical leadership, oversee software development activities, and ensure the quality of developed and modified software Requirements Active TS/SCI with polygraph security clearanceBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is requiredFour (4) years of SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree Level 0 Qualifications No demonstrated experience is required Level 1 Qualifications Seven (7) years experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required Level 2 Qualifications Fourteen (14) years experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required Level 3 Qualifications Twenty (20) years experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required #CJ Why CTC Group?
