Software Engineer

About the role

Corvid's Missile Defense Products group is seeking experienced Software Engineers to develop highly critical fire‑control software for advanced weapons systems. The role involves designing, implementing, and testing sophisticated algorithms that integrate into existing architectures for evaluating and managing situational awareness in Missile Defense Systems.

Responsibilities

• Drive extensive, hands‑on software development using C++, Java, and Ada.
• Develop, present, and execute complex technical work requirements related to software engineering.
• Champion DevSecOps practices to ensure robust, highly secure, and stable software deployment into defense systems.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline (advanced degrees may substitute for experience).
• At least 5 years of relevant development experience.
• Demonstrated experience developing in one or more of the following languages: C++, Ada, Java.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Physics or Mathematics, or a strong foundation in either discipline.
• Proven experience working with Linux environments, scripting, and/or system operations.
• Experience using MATLAB and Python for rigorous development and analytical tasks.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps tools and methods (e.g., Jenkins, Ansible, Git/GitLab) for CI/CD automation.
