Software Engineer

About the role

As a back-end developer, you will use the latest architectural approaches and open-source frameworks and tools to help deliver solutions. You will work with and learn from the development team to create custom tools, systems, and sites with consistent performance and scalability.

Responsibilities

• Identify potential risks and contribute to solution development
• Create efficient and effective systems for clients
• Work with and learn from the development team to create custom tools, systems, and sites
• Support systems engineering efforts in system design, solution engineering, and software development
• Use the latest architectural approaches and open-source frameworks and tools to help deliver solutions

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience with Java
• Experience with microservices and containerization technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with backend frameworks, such as Spring Framework or Spring Boot
• Experience with API development, including REST architectural style
• Experience with integration and development tools, including AWS, Bitbucket, or Jenkins
• Experience with Linux OS and Command Line Interface
• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
• HS diploma or GED

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain a DoD 8570 Compliant Certification, including Security+ or CISSP, within 6 months of start date

Skills

• Open Systems Architecture design principles
• DevOps technologies
• CI/CD technologies, including Ansible, Jenkins, and Git
• Agile development or Scrum
• Non-relational databases, including MongoDB
• Apache NiFi and Kafka
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD).
