Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Maintains application status and supports event triage, monitoring, tracking, and correlation.
• Escalates event characterization and works with vendors for resolution.
• Follows up with customers to ensure issues are resolved.
• Troubleshoots, patches, and maintains complex applications and services.
• Buils instances using Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Builds scripts using Python, JavaScript, and other scripting languages.
• Uses Salt Configuration to maintain, deploy, and troubleshoot software.
• Assists with configuring and operating business systems (mainframe, mini, and client/server-based).
• Deploys and integrates software products ensuring compatibility with associated platforms.
• Communicates with Software Developers to ensure requirements are met and issues are resolved.
• Maintains and resolves issues and errors in systems and logs.
• Works with Oracle, Mongo, PostgreSQL, and MySQL databases.
• Supports deployment and maintenance of critical systems after normal working hours.
• Addresses security testing questions and concerns related to various software and servers.

Requirements

• TS/SCI with CI Poly clearance required.
• Some Cloud Formation experience.
• RDS experience.
• DoD 8570 compliant IAT Level II Certificate or equivalent.
• Linux experience.
• Ability to work weekend/evening hours as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience with Elasticsearch.
• Familiarity with integrated AI/ML solutions.

Skills

• Strong communication skills.
• Knowledge of Salt Configuration.
• Experience with Linux.
• Ability to work weekend/evening hours.
