Software Engineer - Junior, Mid-Level, Senior and Staff Location: New York City - Fully In Person Schedule: Five days per week, approximately 60 hours per week Employment Type: Full-time Compensation Junior Software Engineer: $200,000Mid-Level Software Engineer: $230,000Senior Software Engineer: $285,000Staff Software Engineer: $325,000 About The Role Our prestigious client is hiring ambitious software engineers who want to build and own products in a fast-moving AI startup environment. This is a full-stack, product-focused role where engineers work across frontend, backend and cloud infrastructure. You will own features from the initial idea through development, deployment and iteration while working directly with customers and the company's founders. The environment is high-intensity, fast and experimental. Engineers must be comfortable moving quickly, making decisions with incomplete information and solving problems without waiting for detailed requirements. Responsibilities Build and launch new products and features from zero to oneDevelop applications using React, TypeScript and PythonDeploy and maintain applications and infrastructure on AWSOwn products and features from concept through production deploymentWork across frontend, backend and cloud infrastructureSpeak directly with customers to understand their operational needsTurn customer feedback into product improvementsDebug and resolve issues across unfamiliar areas of the codebaseMake technical and product decisions in ambiguous situationsMove quickly and iterate without sacrificing product qualityWork closely with the founders and broader engineering team Technical Requirements Strong hands-on experience with React, TypeScript, Python and AWSExperience building and deploying full-stack productsDemonstrated end-to-end ownership, including design, development, deployment and iterationStrong programming fundamentals and problem-solving abilityAbility to work across frontend, backend and infrastructureExperience building products from zero to oneAbility to learn unfamiliar technologies quickly Candidates must demonstrate relevant experience through at least one of the following: Self-initiated products or applicationsEarly-stage startup employmentStartup internshipsFounding or entrepreneurial projectsHackathon projectsOpen-source productsApplications launched and used by real customers or users Listing React, TypeScript, Python and AWS as skills is not sufficient. Candidates must be able to explain what they personally built, which technologies they used and what they owned from beginning to end.
