Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Build the infrastructure that allows for high quality and fast research
• Develop pipelines for processing and storing massive EEG datasets
• Create and maintain the infrastructure powering physical experiments and data analysis
• Work alongside world-class researchers to push the boundaries of brain-computer interfaces
• Debug low-level system performance issues and architect new foundational services
• Own the entire technical lifecycle of projects from initial design to production deployment and maintenance
• Develop internal libraries, SDKs, or tooling that supports machine learning and computational neuroscience workflows
• Optimize Python runtimes and infrastructure, including experience with Cython, profiling tools, or optimizing Python runtimes

Requirements

• 5+ years of production software engineering experience with deep expertise in Python and systems-level architecture
• Built and maintained high-performance data pipelines for processing and storing massive datasets
• Comfortable building the infrastructure and front-end tools required to visualize experimental stimuli in real-time
• Experience managing entire software stacks, cloud infrastructure, and dependency management
• Capable of working across the full stack to debug low-level system performance issues or architect new foundational services
• Enjoy owning the entire technical lifecycle of a project, from initial design to production deployment and maintenance
• Background in developing internal libraries, SDKs, or tooling that powers machine learning and computational neuroscience workflows
• Experience with Python performance optimization, including experience with Cython, profiling tools, or optimizing Python runtimes

Compensation Range: $140,000 - $200,000/year
