About the role
Responsible for leading a team of software engineers in developing and maintaining advanced software solutions for aerospace projects. Oversee project timelines, budgets, and quality assurance processes.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement software engineering strategies aligned with company goals.
- Lead cross-functional teams in the design, development, testing, and deployment of complex software systems.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices, and maintain high-quality code through continuous integration and automated testing.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to meet project milestones.
- Oversee quality assurance processes to ensure software meets industry standards and customer expectations.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers within the team.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends relevant to software engineering.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in software engineering management, with at least 5 years managing software development teams.
- Proven track record of delivering successful software projects on time and within budget.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Experience with agile methodologies and project management tools.
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle and software engineering principles.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
Qualifications
- Professional certifications in software engineering or project management preferred.
- Experience with software development tools and platforms such as Java, Python, C#, etc.
- Understanding of software architecture and design patterns.
- Experience with cloud computing platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
