About the role

Responsible for leading a team of software engineers in developing and maintaining advanced software solutions for aerospace projects. Oversee project timelines, budgets, and quality assurance processes.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement software engineering strategies aligned with company goals.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in the design, development, testing, and deployment of complex software systems.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices, and maintain high-quality code through continuous integration and automated testing.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to meet project milestones.
  • Oversee quality assurance processes to ensure software meets industry standards and customer expectations.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers within the team.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends relevant to software engineering.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in software engineering management, with at least 5 years managing software development teams.
  • Proven track record of delivering successful software projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience with agile methodologies and project management tools.
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle and software engineering principles.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.

Qualifications

  • Professional certifications in software engineering or project management preferred.
  • Experience with software development tools and platforms such as Java, Python, C#, etc.
  • Understanding of software architecture and design patterns.
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Knowledge of software testing methodologies and tools.
