About the role
Join nCino’s Intelligence Platform team and play a central role in building the agentic operating system powering the future of banking software. This is a full-stack engineering role where you’ll design and implement both backend and the UI components for several features and capabilities within the AOS ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Support product refinement processes such as the creation of tickets and analysis for development work.
- Follow architectural decisions made by the team and understand the reasoning behind them.
- Engage in brainstorming sessions to propose innovative ideas and solutions.
- Be involved in proof-of-concept implementations and prototypes used to gather feedback and make informed decisions.
- Consider potential risks that might impact the solution.
- Express themselves clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences in written and verbal formats.
- Independently analyze, troubleshoot, break down complex tickets, and identify dependencies across teams and epics.
- Contributes to CI/CD processes including Automated Testing and enhancing the testing coverage of their product.
- Understand adoption and release barriers to entry for the product and technology.
- Support PM and team in developing a strategic launch and release plan with cross functional teams.
- Play an active role in addressing system hygiene.
- Mitigate future hygiene issues by consistently producing high-quality code.
- Adhere to coding standards and is up to date with the latest technology trends, best practices.
- Actively pursues continuous learning through technical training, code review feedback, and exploration of emerging trends.
- Independently handle complex tickets, actively collaborate with the team to drive continuous improvement.
- Participate actively in code review process with attention to code quality, maintainability, and adherence to team standards.
- Leverage AI tools and techniques to enhance software development activities, including code generation, testing, debugging, and optimization.
- Apply AI insights to identify patterns, automate repetitive tasks, and improve overall development efficiency and product quality.
- Evaluate and integrate AI/ML capabilities where appropriate to strengthen product functionality and user experience.
- Maintain awareness of emerging AI trends and best practices to inform continuous learning and innovation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field with 2+ years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong proficiency in React — hooks, component architecture, state management, and performance optimization.
- Experience with at least one programming language (e.g., Typescript, Python, etc.).
- Experience with relational or NoSQL databases and writing queries.
- Practical experience developing and deploying applications on cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), including working with managed services, CDK/SDK, CI/CD pipelines, and containerized environments (Docker basics).
- Experience with version control systems (Git) and collaboration workflows.
- Strong problem-solving skills; able to work independently and in teams.
- Clear written and verbal communication with both technical and non-technical audiences.
Desired
- Hands-on experience building and shipping AI-assisted product features, including integrating LLM APIs (e.g., Anthropic Claude, OpenAI, AWS Bedrock) or ML into production applications.
- Familiarity with event-driven architecture or message queues (e.g. SQS, Kafka).
- Experience with design systems; building, consuming, or contributing to shared component libraries.
- Experience consuming and integrating RESTful APIs.
- Collaboration, prioritization, and adaptability skills in a fast-paced, iterative environment.
- Experience with Salesforce Lightning Web Components (LWC).
Pay
The pay range for this role is $93,900.00 - $159,600.00.
