Software Engineer | $40 - $85/hr Remote

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable software applications and backend services.
• Build high-quality, maintainable, and well-tested code.
• Develop APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize application performance.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineering teams.
• Write technical documentation and improve existing codebases.
• Build solutions using modern programming languages, frameworks, and cloud technologies.

Requirements

• Strong programming skills in at least one modern language such as Python, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, C++, C#, Go, Rust, Kotlin, PHP, or Ruby.
• Good understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.
• Experience building web applications, backend systems, APIs, mobile apps, or cloud services.
• Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows.
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to work independently or as part of a distributed engineering team.
