Software Engineer 4 (Enterprise Data Integration) with Security Clearance

About the role

The Software Engineer will be responsible for creating, sustaining, and troubleshooting complex operational data flows including data storage, data transport, data management, data security, data compliance, and knowledge store management. Additional tasks include working with the mission customer to perform exploratory data analysis on raw data to clean, enrich, transform, and convert the raw data into required formats. The Software Engineer will also devise methods to improve existing operational data flow processing, distribution, and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Create, sustain, and troubleshoot complex operational data flows
• Perform exploratory data analysis on raw data
• Design and implement Java solutions
• Administer Apache NiFi system
• Create, manage, and troubleshoot complex operational data flows
• Use the Atlassian Tool Suite (JIRA, Confluence)

Requirements

• Experience using the Linux CLI and Tools
• Experience writing scripts using Bash/Python
• Experience designing and implementing Java solutions
• Experience with Apache NiFi system administration
• Experience using Apache NiFi canvas to process and distribute data
• Fourteen (14) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity

Qualifications

• Masters degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus ten (10) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus twelve (12) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
