Contract Duration: 9 Months

Responsibilities

  • Consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Software Engineering.
  • Review and analyze complex, multi-faceted, or long-term Software Engineering challenges requiring in-depth evaluation.
  • Contribute to resolving complex situations with a solid understanding of policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
  • Strategically collaborate and consult with client personnel.
  • Support, maintain, and enhance a Legal Technology application supporting eDiscovery research requests.
  • Develop, update, and maintain APIs and application integrations.
  • Write and execute database queries to support application functionality and troubleshooting.
  • Create, modify, and maintain database objects, including stored procedures.
  • Manage and support an Azure-hosted application environment.
  • Deploy releases and application updates within Azure.
  • Utilize Infrastructure as Code tools, including Terraform, to make and manage application changes.
  • Monitor application health, troubleshoot issues, and implement enhancements.
  • Partner with engineering and business stakeholders to ensure application stability and performance.
  • Contribute to future modernization initiatives as the platform evolves.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work, consulting, training, military experience, or education.
  • Azure, C#, .NET, SQL, VisualBasic, or Development Language (Java/C#).
  • 7+ years of software engineering, application engineering, or application support experience.
  • Strong experience developing and supporting APIs.
  • Hands-on experience with .NET Core development.
  • Strong SQL Server experience, including query development and stored procedures.
  • Experience supporting applications hosted in Microsoft Azure.
  • Experience deploying releases and managing cloud-based applications.
  • Knowledge of Terraform or similar Infrastructure as Code tools.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, maintain, and enhance existing applications.

Desired Skills

  • .NET Core API
  • Apigee
  • Experience with eDiscovery platforms or legal technology solutions.
  • Experience modernizing legacy or established applications.
  • Familiarity with application architecture and cloud modernization practices.
