Software Engineer 3

About the role

The Optical Metrology Division products are used for optical overlay metrology. The portfolio of products includes unique solution packages which are based on hardware and software systems to enhance yield and effectiveness.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain software components for complex SW/HW integrated systems
• Build high-performance, scalable applications leveraging C++, C#, .NET Core, and .NET Framework on Windows and Linux platforms
• Develop and optimize multithreaded and multiprocessing applications for performance-critical systems
• Collaborate cross-functionally with hardware, systems, and algorithm teams to integrate software into end-to-end solutions
• Diagnose and resolve system-level issues using strong debugging and troubleshooting techniques
• Leverage AI tools and technologies to accelerate development, testing, and analysis workflows
• Contribute to system architecture, design reviews, and technical decision-making
• Communicate technical concepts clearly through presentations, documentation, and cross-team discussions

Requirements

• Doctorate (Academic) Degree and related work experience of 1 years; master’s Level Degree and related work experience of 4 years; bachelor’s Level Degree and related work experience of 6 years
• Proven experience developing and troubleshooting multidisciplinary SW/HW systems
• Strong programming expertise in C++ and/or C#
• Experience with multithreading and multiprocessing concepts
• Hands-on experience developing applications on Windows and/or Linux operating systems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on debugging complex systems
• Excellent written and verbal communication

Benefits

• Base Pay Range: $115,900.00 - $197,000.00 Annually
• Primary Location: USA-OR-Hillsboro-Beaverton-KLA
