Software Engineer 2 - Linux/Bash/Python/Python/NoSQL/Docker/Kubernetes/Helm/RabbitMQ

About the role

Captivation Software is seeking a mid-level software engineer to develop, sustain, and troubleshoot the project's software suite of applications, including DINO. Responsibilities include implementation, testing, and integration with other COTS, GOTS, and FOSS products, packages, and libraries.

Requirements

• Must currently hold a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable Polygraph (U.S. citizenship required)
• Minimum qualifications (one of the following):
  • Master's degree in Computer Science or related discipline plus three (3) years of experience as a Software Engineer (SWE)
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline plus five (5) years of experience as a SWE
  • Seven (7) years of experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity

Skills

Required

• Experience using the Linux CLI and tools
• Script development using Bash
• Recent Python (3.x) software development experience
• Experience with NoSQL databases including MongoDB
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker
• Experience with CI/CD principles, methodologies, and tools including GitLab CI
• Familiarity with container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes
• Familiarity with Helm Charts to deploy containerized services on Kubernetes
• Familiarity with messaging frameworks including RabbitMQ
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles, methodologies, and tools such as Ansible
• Experience using Git source control system

Desired

• Experience with SQL databases including PostgreSQL
• Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite including Jira and Confluence

Benefits

• Annual salary: $130,000 - $270,000 (depends on years of experience)
