Software Engineer 2 (JPE - 054)

About the role

SageCor Solutions is a growing company offering complete engineering services and full lifecycle System Engineering expertise in high performance computing, large data analytics, and cutting-edge information technologies. Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Develop software using object-oriented programming language constructs
• Work with Linux operating systems, particularly RHEL
• Develop applications using interpreted languages like Python
• Implement test-driven development practices
• Utilize containerization technologies such as Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, and Helm charts
• Collaborate on projects requiring excellent customer relations and managing feature request requirements
• Earn certification in web accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1)
• Engage with cloud technologies and concepts, especially AWS
• Participate in agentic development workflows and utilize AI-assisted coding tools
• Manage projects using Atlassian tools like Jira and Confluence

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or 18+ years of experience in software engineering
• 14+ years of experience in software engineering, or 18+ years in lieu of a degree
• Experience with the Go programming language and concurrent/parallel processing patterns
• Experience with TypeScript and Angular framework for web application development
• Experience with stream processing systems like Kafka, Redis Streams, AMQP, Redpanda Connect/Benthos
• Excellent customer relations skills, including managing requirements for feature requests
• Familiarity with web accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1)
• Experience with cloud technologies and concepts (AWS preferred)
• Experience with agentic development workflows and AI-assisted coding tools
• Familiarity with the Atlassian suite of tools for project management (Jira, Confluence)
