Software Engineer 2
About the role
Reflexive Concepts is seeking a Software Engineer to develop, maintain, and enhance complex and diverse software systems. These systems include processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems based upon documented requirements.
You will work individually or as part of a team, reviewing and testing software components for adherence to design requirements and documenting test results. You will resolve software problem reports and utilize software development and design methodologies appropriate to the development environment.
You will provide specific input to the software components of system design, including hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS)/Government Off-the-shelf (GOTS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components.
Responsibilities
- Implementation of the MDAT system in Java/Python using AWS services
- Implementation of automated tests at functional and systems levels
- Partnership with system engineers to execute the agile process
- Prototyping of solution space in the AWS cloud
Qualifications
- Seven (7) years’ experience as a Software Engineer (SWE) in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required
- Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree
