Software Engineer 1 - Back-End/DevOps

Description

Captivation Software is looking for a mid level software engineer who will be doing back-end development and DevOps engineering.

Requirements

• Security Clearance: Must currently hold a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable Polygraph, therefore all candidates must be a U.S. citizen
• Minimum Qualifications: Seven (7) years experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is requiredBachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is requiredFour (4) years of SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.

Required Skills

• Design, develop and maintain microservices using Spring Boot and Java
• Build and manage RESTful APIs and backend services deployed on AWS (e.g., ECS, Lambda, RDS, S3)
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation)
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and security
• Collaborate with DevOps, frontend, and product teams to deliver end-to-end solutions
• Monitor and troubleshoot production systems using tools like CloudWatch, Prometheus, or ELK
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and reliability

Pay

Annual Salary: $130,000 - $270,000 (Depends on the Years of Experience)
