Software Engineer 1

About the role

The Software Engineer shall be responsible for collaborating with Product Owners, System Engineers, and Project Software Engineers to design, develop, test, troubleshoot, and sustain a mission-focused enterprise web application deployed in a containerized Kubernetes Linux environment.

Required qualifications

• Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science
• Experience: 2+ years of related experience
• Security clearance required: TS/SCI w/ polygraph
• Experience using the Linux CLI
• Experience developing Bash/Python scripts
• Experience developing with Python in a Linux environment
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker
• Experience with SQL technologies such as MySQL
• Experience with designing and implementing REST interfaces
• Experience with CI/CD principles, methodologies, and tools such as GitLab CI
• Experience with Git Source Control System

Desired skills

• Experience with the Atlassian Suite of Tools including Jira and Confluence
• Experience with the Django Web framework
• Experience with the Celery Task Scheduler
• Familiar with container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes
• Familiar with creating Helm Charts to deploy containerized services on Kubernetes

Pay

The likely salary range for this position is $132,600 - $179,400. Salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.

Schedule

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40. This is an onsite position located in Annapolis Junction, MD. No travel required.
