Software Engineer 1

About the role

The successful candidate will provide full-stack Java software development in support of the Data Transformation Solutions (DTS) Technology Transfer Office (TTO).

Responsibilities

• Develop the middle tier and backend data storage
• Support ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) development
• Contribute to innovative projects using cutting-edge technologies
• Design, develop, and deploy applications meeting client needs
• Work with cutting-edge technologies to deliver robust and scalable solutions

Requirements

• Seven (7) years experience as a Software Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university
• Four (4) years of additional Software Engineering experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree

Qualifications

• Experience utilizing corporate authentication services into a secure full stack solution
• Experience delivering full stack solutions with large data sets
• Experience with developing in a micro-services framework
• Familiar with design and implementation of local caching services
• Experience with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load)
• Experience with Docker & Docker Compose, Kubernetes
• Experience with Jenkins, Github and Gitlab, Jira and Confluence

Skills

• Knowledge of commercial cloud services, preferably AWS
• Experience with PostgreSQL / NoSQL databases
• Experience with Go, Rust, and/or C++
• Lib development experience
• Experience with Vue, MinIO, Clickhouse, and Graphite
