About the role

Metrea Algorithmics (MAX) supports the Department of Defense with electronic warfare and cyberspace solutions and engineering services. With deep expertise in asset, mission, industry, and finance, MAX offers a global perspective to de-risk aerospace requirements across various mission verticals. As a Software Engineer, you will assist in the design and development of core MAX software applications and products, integrate COTS components, and support mission operations, testing, and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and integration of MAX components and systems
• Assist in the integration of COTS components into a larger system
• Develop software in JAVA, React, Ansible, MySQL
• Aid in the mission operations of MAX products and services
• Support the research of COTS and perform engineering trade-off analysis and risk assessment

Requirements

• Experience or understanding of software development and networking
• Ability to quickly learn challenging concepts, decompose difficult software problems, and provide resolution
• Familiarity with cloud development and deployments
• Familiarity with database and query languages
• Familiarity with Linux operating systems
• Familiarity with network protocols
• Experience with Docker, YAML, and IntelliJ
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize work and maximize productivity
• Familiarity with CI/CD and Agile development methods and tools

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or another Engineering field
• 5+ years of relevant experience
• Proficiency in JAVA, Linux, Docker, and React

Schedule

Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

May require occasional on-call availability and remote work.

Education, Experience, and Certificates

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or similar field preferred
• 5+ years of relevant experience
• Valid Driver’s License
• Clearance: Secret (or higher) required
• U.S. Passport required
