About the Role
As a Software Development Specialist 4, you will work under general direction from an assigned Information Technology Supervisor to provide solution designs, develop project plans with a project manager, or recommend approaches by defining tasks and leading meetings related to computer application programs.
Responsibilities
- Assist in analyzing the business case for solution designs.
- Edit or create enterprise or IT artifacts for recommendation and approval, including policies, procedures, standards, guidelines, best practices, and position papers.
- Develop pass/fail testing criteria.
- Assess overall system performance, including optimizing code and identifying and resolving peripheral software/hardware conflicts.
Requirements
Minimum qualifications (one of the following options):
- Option 1: 60 months of combined work experience in providing solutions design, developing project plans, or recommending approaches for computer applications, including 12 months of work experience in Microsoft .NET Environment.
- Option 2: Completion of an associate core program in computer science or information systems and 42 months of combined work experience in providing solutions design, developing project plans, or recommending approaches for computer applications, including 12 months of work experience in Microsoft .NET Environment.
- Option 3: Completion of an undergraduate core program in computer science or information systems and 36 months of combined work experience in providing solutions design, developing project plans, or recommending approaches for computer applications, including 12 months of work experience in Microsoft .NET Environment.
Required technology experience:
- Primary: Microsoft .NET Environment
- Secondary: Structured Query Language (SQL)
