About the Role

As a Software Development Specialist 3, you will design and perform systems analysis, recommend application solutions, test and correct programs related to testing and implementation, and assist with documentation.

Responsibilities

• Review and assist with creating test designs and test plans.
• Create, modify, and run automated tests.
• Create and review test data for performing test scenarios.
• Coordinate execution of test scripts, debugging efforts, and defect tracking.
• Support user acceptance testing.
• Work with lead QA in the development, implementation, and monitoring of IT quality assurance standards and testing.
• Perform performance and load testing.
• Assist with test analysis, recommend solutions for testing software, correct programs used for testing, and assist with documentation.

Requirements

Option 1: 48 months of combined work experience in any combination of the following:

• Designing and performing systems analysis.
• Developing and/or modifying programs for computer applications.
• Recommending application solutions.
• Testing and correcting programs related to testing and implementation.
• Assisting with documentation.

Including 12 months of work experience in the primary technology (Software Testing/QA Tools).

Option 2: Completion of an associate core program in computer science or information systems and 30 months of combined work experience as described above, including 12 months in the primary technology.

Option 3: Completion of an undergraduate core program in computer science or information systems and 24 months of combined work experience as described above, including 12 months in the primary technology.

Equivalent combinations of the above qualifications may also be considered.
