About the role
Lyric is an AI-first, platform-based healthcare technology company focused on simplifying healthcare payment integrity and reducing waste in the ecosystem. We are a market leader with a rich history in pre-pay editing, and we are currently modernizing our payment integrity platform to improve efficiency and reduce costs for all stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Own the delivery roadmap for platform modernization, ensuring that migration work, API extraction, and frontend decoupling are sequenced into realistic, high-impact milestones.
- Remove blockers before the team feels them, whether it's cross-team dependencies, unclear requirements, or technical rabbit holes.
- Hold the team to high engineering standards without micromanaging, ensuring clean PRs, meaningful test coverage, current documentation, and architecture decisions that are reviewed and revisited.
- Be hands-on when it matters, reviewing critical design decisions, pairing on complex migration problems, or stepping into code to unblock a stuck workstream.
Requirements
- 8+ years in software engineering, with at least 3 years in engineering management.
- 5+ years in C# and modern .NET (Core and beyond).
- 8+ years SQL experience, including schema design, query tuning, and performance troubleshooting.
- Experience with AI coding tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, or similar, and coaching others on their use.
- Experience with distributed systems, Angular, React/Next.js, and progressive delivery.
- Experience in a regulated domain, such as healthcare or fintech, where compliance is non-negotiable.
Qualifications
- Experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
- Experience with AWS or Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and Scrum.
- Experience with data modeling and database optimization.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git.
- Experience with continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD).
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK Stack.
- Experience with security best practices and compliance standards.
Skills
- Strong leadership skills and ability to mentor and grow a team.
- Experience with distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and hybrid database environments.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, and container orchestration.
- Experience with data modeling, query tuning, and performance troubleshooting.
- Experience with version control systems, continuous integration, and deployment.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools, and security best practices.

Pay
The US base salary range for this full-time position is: $150,289.00 - $225,434.00. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate’s relevant experience, education, and work location.
