About the role

Amazon’s Quantitative Business Intelligence Tools (QuBIT) team is seeking a highly talented and motivated Software Development Manager to lead software solutions supporting applications for NACF and Beyond, including an AI transformation of Fulfillment Center operations. This role involves tackling large-scale operational supply chain problems with GenAI solutions, offering a high degree of creative freedom and technical challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with customers on system requirements, writing specifications, and driving project schedules from design to release.
  • Manage the production launch of software solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership and project management throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, improving their skills and effectiveness.
  • Communicate with users, technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software features, and align on product strategy.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of engineering team management experience.
  • 3+ years of providing technical leadership and project management for the software development lifecycle.
  • 5+ years of experience developing large-scale, multi-tiered distributed software systems using Java, C#, or C++.
  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring, and coaching software engineers.
  • Experience communicating with users, technical teams, and senior leadership to define requirements and product strategy.

Pay

Base salary range: $184,900 - $250,200 USD annually (location: Bellevue, WA).
