Software Development Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Software Development Manager to lead and develop a team of software engineers while providing technical direction across application development initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong people-management experience, a solid software development background, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional Agile teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of 3–5 software developers, fostering a culture of high performance, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to ensure the development of scalable, reliable, and resilient software solutions.
• Partner with cross-functional Agile teams to align software architecture and design decisions with business objectives and product strategy.
• Support team members in designing, developing, and delivering complex applications based on business requirements.
• Manage and support full project lifecycles, from requirements and design through development, testing, deployment, and delivery.
• Mentor team members and help drive technical and professional development within the team.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 2+ years of people-management experience in a software development environment.
• Strong application development experience using one or more programming technologies such as: Java Angular JavaScript
• Demonstrated experience building and developing high-performing software teams.
• Experience managing full software project lifecycles.
• Strong understanding of Agile software development methodologies.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
