Key Job Responsibilities

  • Lead an elite team of development engineers to define, drive and execute on our product vision.
  • Invent and ship software that directly impacts our end customer experience.
  • Develop your team of highly motivated and talented builders who can collaborate with applied scientists, product managers, technical specialists, and principals across the company.
  • Lead the overall development life cycle of software solutions and manage complex projects with significant impact.
  • Coordinate with your senior engineers to develop the best technical design and approach for product development.
  • Assure that your team's designs meet requirements, and deliver high-quality work on tight schedules.
  • Prioritize, plan projects and features, manage partners, and track external commitments.
  • Monitor operation of production services to ensure Operational Excellence.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of engineering team management experience
  • 7+ years of working directly within engineering teams experience
  • 3+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  • 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience
  • Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
  • Experience partnering with product or program management teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Full Stack and Gen-AI development
  • 5+ years shipping production software with depth in distributed Python services, TypeScript/React desktop apps, or LLM-backed agent runtimes
  • Strong Python and TypeScript/React, with Electron production experience
  • WebSockets and event-driven streaming architectures
  • LLM application engineering on AWS Bedrock or comparable platforms — agent frameworks, orchestration, and interoperability protocols (MCP, A2A, ACP)
  • Approaches for Memory and Knowledge graphs, semantic search, and vector stores
  • Owns features end-to-end: tests, evals, telemetry, docs, code review

Pay

USA, CA, Santa Clara - 212,700.00 - 287,700.00 USD annually. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
