Software Development Engineering - Advisor I
About the role
We are seeking a Software Engineer to join our engineering team at Fiserv. You’ll collaborate with Technical leaders, product managers, clients at leading financial institutions, and cross-functional engineering teams to design and deliver client facing Web applications, resilient, high-volume API, microservices, integrations from UI, in cloud infrastructure. Your work will help shape solution architecture and drive reliable, performant production systems.
Responsibilities
- Define and implement solution architecture for Modern, Robust Client facing Web applications.
- Design, develop, deploy Web application using Typescript, React, Node.js 22, Tailwind CSS, pnpm, Nginx, Docker.
- Effective usage of AI for Software Engineering – Design/Coding/Code review/Debugging.
- Hands-on working experience in Azure, AFD, Apache, Reverse proxy configurations and Containerization.
- Collaborate in Agile/Scrum delivery model with product managers, clients and engineering teams.
- Contribute to CI/CD and DevSecOps practices to enable repeatable, secure deployments.
- Apply design patterns and algorithmic approaches to improve reliability, maintainability, readability and performance.
- Troubleshoot and operate within complex IT environments, including networking, security and performance considerations.
- Cloud migration and platforms experience (Azure, PCF, OpenShift, AWS).
- Experience with Splunk and SIEM tools.
Requirements
- 8+ years recent experience in building Web applications using Typescript, React and Node.js, Tailwind CSS.
- 3+ years of experience with hands-on AI integration for Embedded UI coding and standardization.
- 5+ years hands-on experience integrating front end with RESTful APIs (JSON over HTTPS) built with Java and Spring Frameworks (Spring Boot).
- 4+ years hands-on experience designing, writing, debugging and testing object-oriented code.
- Advanced understanding of design patterns, software algorithms and coding techniques that improve testability and maintainability.
- Experience with building web applications using Nginx and Docker.
- High proficiency with modern CI/CD and DevSecOps practices.

- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay
$90,000.00 - $158,400.00
Schedule
This role is on-site Monday through Friday. Fiserv considers in-person collaboration to be an essential part of this role as in-person office experiences help you with your overall onboarding experience and leads to stronger productivity. Travel approximately 10% of travel off-site or to other office locations is expected.
