About the role
The Amazon Robotics (AR) Technology Enablement Services (TES) team builds and supports systems and processes that make Amazon Robotics planning, manufacturing, and launching seamless. Our team is looking for an innovative, results-oriented Software Development Engineer (SDE) to build solutions supporting our existing and future state manufacturing and supply chain operations.
Responsibilities
- Design and architect technical solutions that delight customers
- Set the highest standards for quality, maintainability, and performance by designing solutions to be highly-available, dynamically scalable, and resilient to continuity threats
- Minimize technical debt, while ensuring solutions are easy to use and maximize efficiency
- Provide technical guidance and consulting to our business partners
- Work across teams to design and develop systems which integrate hardware and software
- Create production-ready systems which can be deployed at Amazon scale
Requirements
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
- 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl experience
- 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
Qualifications
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
