Software Development Engineer, Prime Air

About the role

Prime Air is a team within Amazon focused on delivering packages to customers in under an hour. The team works on innovative solutions to ensure quick, cost-effective, and safe deliveries while scaling their operations.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services
• Collaborate with research teams to innovate and solve complex delivery challenges
• Apply state-of-the-art technologies to improve delivery efficiency and customer satisfaction
• Work in an iterative environment to drive innovation and effective problem-solving

Requirements

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language
• Knowledge of professional software engineering & best practices for full software development life cycle, including coding standards, software architectures, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing, and operational excellence

Qualifications

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Skills

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, including experience with C#, C++, Java, or Perl, and a passion for innovation and problem-solving.

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $143,700.00 - $194,400.00 annually.
