Software Development Engineer, Infrastructure Supply Chain DCN & DCRP

About the role

Join the AWS Supply Chain Automation team and build systems that enable AWS to rapidly grow and lead in Cloud Computing. Your work will have a direct impact on hundreds of thousands of developers and businesses worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Design and build innovative technologies in a large distributed computing environment
• Create solutions to run predictions on distributed systems with exposure to innovative technologies at incredible scale and speed
• Build distributed storage, index, and query systems that are scalable, fault-tolerant, low cost, and easy to manage/use
• Drive the requirement analysis, architecture, design and implementation of distributed systems, applications, and frameworks
• Work in an agile environment to deliver high-quality software

Requirements

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field

Qualifications

• Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Skills

• Ability to work through ambiguity and develop scalable, and high-performance services
• Ability to lead by example, balance development responsibilities while participating in cross-team efforts including architecture roadmaps and planning
