Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks for high-quality software delivery.
• Develop robust testing strategies for back-end and front-end components.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and provide testing insights.
• Execute functional, regression, and performance testing to identify defects.
• Utilize tools and technologies to enhance automated testing capabilities.
• Identify, report, and track defects; work with developers to resolve them.
• Participate in code reviews, focusing on testability and quality.
• Maintain testing documentation (test plans, test cases, technical specs).
• Research and implement industry best practices for testing and automation.
• Assist in performance testing and analyze results for improvement.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an SDET.
• Strong programming skills in JavaScript, Python, Node.js.
• Solid understanding of testing methodologies and best practices.
• Experience with automation testing tools and frameworks (Playwright).
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with RESTful API testing and tools (e.g., Postman).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills for cross-team collaboration.
• Understanding of cloud technologies (AWS, Azure) is a plus.
• Experience with database testing and SQL knowledge.
• Prior exposure to AI, FinTech, Credit/Risk domains is desirable.
