About the role
This role focuses on designing and delivering real-time, AI-powered fraud and abuse defenses on a global scale. You will build and operate cloud-native decisioning and automated remediation systems, simplify the platform, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve measurable outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement low-latency risk decisioning (signals + rules + models)
- Develop and operate agentic workflows and multi-agent systems
- Simplify and modernize the platform (streaming/data pipelines, microservices, CI/CD, configuration-driven controls)
- Implement and maintain Service Level Objectives (SLOs), observability, and safety/rollback mechanisms
- Evaluate vendors and in-house solutions for performance, cost, and risk posture
- Collaborate with engineering, product, operations, security, and compliance teams to deliver outcomes
- Mentor other engineers and champion the use of AI within the organization
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field; or equivalent professional experience
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, including building and operating high-scale production backend services
- Hands-on proficiency in at least one modern programming language and core software engineering practices
- Familiarity with distributed cloud-native engineering at scale, microservices, API-driven design, SQL/NoSQL databases, and data streaming/processing
- Experience using AI coding assistants and agents to ship production software faster
- Experience building, monitoring, and debugging large language models (LLMs) and multi-agent applications
- Exposure to various large language model (LLM) providers
Qualifications
- Track record automating and reimagining manual operational processes with agentic systems
- Experience building and integrating applications with AI/ML solutions or LLM models
- Graph/sequence modeling or entity resolution at scale
- Device and behavioral signals
- Experience with cloud cost/performance tuning and capacity planning
- Marketplace, travel, or e-commerce experience
Skills
- Strong hands-on experience in software engineering
- Experience with cloud-native technologies
- Proficiency in AI-assisted SDLC practices
- Experience with large language models and multi-agent systems
- Knowledge of various LLM providers

Pay
The total cash range for this position in Austin is $146,000.00 to $204,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $233,500.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.
Schedule
This role requires employees to be in-office at least three days a week.
