Software Development Engineer II, Infrastructure Security-HLS

About the role

The AWS InfraSec-HLS team is seeking a Software Development Engineer II to join our Infrastructure Security-HLS Software Development team. This role is responsible for building, maintaining, and scaling the software solutions that support the security of our devices that form the foundation of our cloud.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with experienced cross-disciplinary Amazonians to conceive, design, and bring innovative products and services to market.
• Create solutions to run predictions on distributed systems with exposure to innovative technologies at incredible scale and speed.
• Build distributed storage, index, and query systems that are scalable, fault-tolerant, low cost, and easy to manage/use.
• Ability to design and code the right solutions starting with broadly defined problems.
• Work in an agile environment to deliver high-quality software.
• On-call rotation to support the services owned by the Software team
• Peer code reviews

Requirements

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
