Software Development Engineer II, AWS Lambda

About the role

The AWS Lambda data plane team is seeking a software engineer to contribute to a globally scaled service. This role focuses on enhancing the Lambda service's security, performance, and observability. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively to tackle challenges in serverless computing while ensuring operational sustainability. A successful team member will bring creativity and a customer-centric approach to engineering solutions.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with team members to grow the Lambda service tenfold.
• Design and develop secure and performant serverless technology.
• Advocate for operational sustainability and eliminate flaky tests.
• Create APIs that prioritize customer experience and ease of use.
• Engage in tackling complex problems related to supercomputing and high availability.

Requirements

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language
• 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience

Pay

$143,700 – $194,400 per year
