Software Development Engineer II, Agents
About the role
This software development engineer will be part of a team that is changing how customers access the cloud. The engineer will be part of a dynamic team that is looking to make customer's workloads simpler, safer, and available across all of their workloads.
Responsibilities
- Understanding of cloud architecture patterns and performance optimizations
- Experience with Rust, Go, WASM, or cross-platform frameworks for rapid deployment
- Effectively articulating technical challenges and solutions to tech and non-tech audiences
- Architecting systems involving data processing components, workflow orchestration, and dependency management
- Creating and managing backend and frontend applications and data stores
- Translating data into meaningful insights through object-oriented design concepts
- Programming large multi-tier systems
- Participating in all aspects of service development, onboarding, and customer experience areas covering visual interfaces to back-end services
- Working with technologies to improve usability and increase resiliency and scalability
- Translating business requirements into technical deliverables and delivering operationally stable solutions providing good customer experience
- Exhibiting strong ownership, passion for providing great customer experience, and excellent troubleshooting skills
- Building resilient web/mobile loved applications and/or web services-based applications
Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience (design patterns, reliability and scaling)
- 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
- 1+ years of software development experience involving large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl
- 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Pay
The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
- USA, VA, Arlington - $143,700.00 - $194,400.00 USD annually
