Software Development Engineer, Differentiated Security Team (DST)

Key job responsibilities

Full Stack Engineering: Ability to work on both frontend and backend development tasks. Write high-quality, efficient, testable code and recommend improvements in development, maintenance, and system standards, and contribute to software documentation.

Tech Design Decisions: Participating in tech designs and discussions and making informed decisions about technology choices. Evaluating trade-offs between different design options and proposing optimal solutions.

Code Review: Conducting thorough code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to coding standards. Providing constructive feedback to team members and helping them improve their coding skills.

Best Practices: Promoting best practices in software development, including code organization, documentation, testing, and version control.

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Pay

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
