About the role

The Corporate Services Security (CPSS) Seals (Security for Employee and Legal Systems) Team is responsible for securing the applications, infrastructure and data developed across People eXperience and Technology (PXT) and Legal teams. We partner with builder teams to minimize security risks across their applications while being a business enabler. Our team provides end-to-end security partnership across the software development lifecycle. We are seeking a talented Software Development Engineer (SDE) to build innovative security solutions that automate our security processes and build preventive and detective application security systems to secure applications and data. Our mission is to make security invisible by building paved path solutions that enable developers to ship secure code quickly and continuously without sacrificing speed or innovation. You'll architect and develop native AWS solutions using technologies like LLMs, prompt engineering, security frameworks, application security controls, and threat detection mechanisms that improve security posture and increase builder productivity. You will build reusable security libraries, tools, and frameworks that serve as paved paths, making the secure path the easy path for developers across the business unit. Join our team as a force multiplier for our business organization's security posture while advancing your career at the intersection of software, AI, and cybersecurity.

Key job responsibilities

  • Architect and develop innovative security automation tools that leverage Generative AI technologies to streamline security processes, enabling efficient and scalable security operations.
  • Collaborate closely with security engineers and software development teams to understand their needs, provide guidance on secure coding practices, and advocate for security best practices throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest software development and security trends, techniques, and industry best practices in Generative AI and application security, and drive their adoption within the organization.
  • Design and implement preventive and detective security systems that enable developers to ship secure code continuously.
  • Build reusable security libraries, tools, and frameworks that serve as paved paths, making the secure path the easy path for developers across the business unit.

A day in the life

As a successful SDE, you collaborate with security engineers to understand their automation challenges and requirements. You design and develop AI-powered security solutions and paved path tools that make security frictionless for developers across the business unit. Your day involves researching innovative approaches to application security, and sharing progress with your team, customers, and stakeholders. You own your work end to end from design to deployment, while building bridges between security and development teams.

About the team

We are a collaborative team of security engineers, Technical Program Managers, and SDEs who move fast, value ownership, and invest heavily in each other's growth. We bridge the traditional gap between security and engineering by building tools that reduce friction for developers and embedding security early in the software development lifecycle through guardrails and paved path solutions.
