Software Development Engineer, Commerce Platform

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance AI technologies to build robust commerce platform capabilities.
• Collaborate with Commerce and other teams to build and implement multi-agent applications for development and testing.
• Bring to bear your extensive experience with agentic AI to develop innovative solutions.
• Consistently deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines and evolving priorities.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent amount of practical experience.
• Strong background in AI technologies and experience building multi-agent applications.
• Demonstrated experience in collaborating with agentic AI.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.

Preferred qualifications

• Advanced degree or equivalent experience in a related field and experience with large-scale AI deployments.
• Experience designing systems, or parts of systems, to be testable.
• Comfortable working close to production, building and owning gates to ensure robust deployment.
• Ability to influence engineering practices beyond your own team.

Nice to have

• Experience with commerce specific systems: payments, inventory, order orchestration, pricing.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tooling (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, ArgoCD, etc.).
• Experience with chaos or fault injection testing.

Pay

The U.S. pay range for this position is $114,100 -- $214,950 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In California, the pay range for this position is $148,500 - $214,950.
