Software Development Engineer, AWS EMR

About the role

The AWS EMR Control Plane team is seeking talented engineers to contribute to scaling a highly utilized AWS service. This role offers opportunities to work on innovative features and collaborate with experienced professionals.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior and principal engineers to solve complex distributed systems problems.
• Develop and improve cluster and work management systems for EMR.
• Enhance real-time processing capabilities for big data.
• Support customers in interacting more easily with their data through EMR.
• Work with various AWS services such as DynamoDB, Lambda, API Gateway, CloudFormation, EC2, etc.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of design or architecture experience.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Experience with at least one software programming language.
• Full software development life cycle experience.

Skills

While not required, experience with GenAI tools is a plus.

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $165,200.00 - $223,600.00 annually.
