About the role
CVS Shared Services Resources LLC, a CVS Health company, is hiring for a Software Development Engineer in Hartford, CT. This is a hybrid position: remote work is permitted, but you must live within commuting distance of the designated office location and remain available to report to the office as needed. Multiple openings are available.
- Design and deliver efficient technical solutions in furtherance of our quality assurance standards for multiple software applications.
- Work in an agile software development environment, provide QA expertise and guidance, and drive consistent quality assurance strategies across multiple agile teams.
- Define and own engineering priorities that adapt to our larger goals, communicating effectively with business partners.
- Analyze and report QA performance measurements including defect density, defect leakage, QA efficiency, and various QA team performance factors.
- Construct quality dashboards and management reports.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of competitive products, services, and trends through research of cutting-edge technology and trends, and influence innovation and process.
- Continually develop and refine test automation frameworks, and evaluate strategies and opportunities for test case automation.
- Promote proper implementation of agile techniques and principles for sprint planning and estimation.
- Estimate scope and size of user stories.
- Design both manual and automated tests and ensure alignment with all agile team members with tests that each user story will have to pass.
- Implement measures and metrics to demonstrate business value for new Quality initiatives.
- Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and processes to ensure the highest quality software product platform.
Requirements
- Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Science, or a related field.
- Completion of a university-level course, research project, internship, or thesis in each of the following:
- CI/CD, Jenkins, GIT, or DevOps.
- Agile methodologies or SAFe Software Development Principles.
- ATG Commerce or Spring Boot microservices.
- Frameworks: Angular, JavaScript, React, jQuery, Ajax, Bootstrap, or Backbone.
- REST, SOAP, or Web Service APIs.
- Java, Python, Hive, Cassandra, Pig, MySQL or NoSQL.
- Software development for enterprise or web applications.
- Data Warehousing.
- Extract/Transform/Load (ETL) processes.
- Writing clean, high quality, high performing, scalable code.
- Testing, quality assurance, and troubleshooting.
- Software development lifecycle.
Pay
The pay range for this position is $84,178.00/year to $158,620.00/year. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography, and other relevant factors. This position is also eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission, or short-term incentive program, as well as an award target in the company’s equity award program.
