Software Development Engineer, Amazon Publisher Monetization - Video Ads

About the role

We're seeking an experienced Software Development Engineer to join our team to grow the premium product offerings. You'll be at the forefront of building enterprise-scale advertising technology that powers premium brand experiences across Prime Video's global platform.

Responsibilities

• Understand the fundamentals (and tradeoffs) of Amazon’s advertising stacks and related industry standards.
• Drive technical solutions/architecture for advertising workflow that can scale to serve similar use cases.
• Lead the design of large components, get hands-on and write code, and ultimately deploy successful enterprise-level systems that can be leveraged for a broad set of use cases.
• Decompose complex problems into simple, straightforward solutions with a bias toward standards-based and flexible designs.
• Develop a strong engineering culture of rapid experimentation, measurement, and iteration.
• Build relationships and earn trust with partner teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent 3+ years of computer science fundamentals (object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving and complexity analysis) experience
• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language
• Experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
• Knowledge of professional software engineering & best practices for full software development life cycle, including coding standards, software architectures, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing, and operational excellence

Skills

• Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Pay

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs).

Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
