Software Developer - Weapons Systems

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Software Developer to support the development of the Tactical Tomahawk Weapon Control System in an Agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and test source code
• Debug issues
• Support all phases of the system development lifecycle with a focus on software development

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years in software development
• Proficiency in C++ and/or Java
• Object-oriented design skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Willingness to work on-site at Dahlgren Naval Base
• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline (Computer Science or Engineering preferred)
• Active Secret security clearance (mandatory)

Skills

• Strong C++ experience (preferred)
• Linux knowledge (preferred)
